Hide and seek

If you have a chance to come to Japan and you are a big fan of vintage clothes, I hope our blog would help you a little bit before you decide where to shop in Fukuoka. Vintage clothes shop or as we know second hand shop. Japanese usually called "used shop". Used shop and me always have "hide and seek relationships". When I tried to find, it always hide in the most secret place but sometimes it turns out that I find it coincidentally!

Used shops in Japan love to play hide and seek too, by blend with various shops and actually, usually located on the second floor or top floor (if it is a big department). But you don't have to worry, because Used shops'owner always leave us a clue; a small sign on the wall or coner of the street or even on the stairs and the big one which always on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the buildings.

In Fukuoka, alomost every clothes shop are located in the area call Tenjin.  Tenjin is lively and always crowed, so today I want to introduce another area next to Tenjin.
It's "Daimyo". Daimyo is quite a popular place for used shops to hide. I want to introduce some of the shops that I've already found here :)

Start with my favourites one "SPINNS" remember this name while you are around Japan. This is the place where you can have a lot of fun. I have been another Spinns in Hiroshima while there was a big sale in Japan and the price was very cheap compares to Spinns in Fukuoka now. It's better to go shopping when sale season : New years sale (starts from 2 Jan.) and Spring Sale starts in April. Watch out!they will spin your head around.

I think this is quite a noticeable logo of this shop,an anime's eyes, you can see manys of them wandering around Tenjin. For more information (in Japanese) visit www.spinns.com

There are two spinns shop around this area one in on the 8th floor of Tenjin Core ,another is at Daimyo. Don't forget to check out! and here is some vintage shops around Daimyo. (others will coming soon..)

Beware of the sign ladies, some used shops in Japan are for men only!

1 mins walk out from Daimyo area you will found "WEGO" , mix used clothing, stands out with loud provocative music. At WEGO you can find both new and used in reasonable price.

This skirt just 945 yen!

This is we go website link

15 mins. walk (window shopping speed) from WEGO you can found another used shop in Tenjin area, on the 5th floor of the department store name's Daiei. I think this shop is the biggest and cheapest in Tenjin that I have found. This shop also often has a sale around 20%-30% if you buy 1000 yen. Very cheap!! I heart this shop :)

The price starts from 300yen ~ shirts , T-shirts ,Jeans,dress and sweater!

Any plan for weekend?.....Let's go Tenjin.

Enjoy shopping! :)

Have you ever wonder... why Japanese stay healthy and live for long. What is their secret? One of the answer is Macrobiotic food. Macrobiotic diet is a diet that emphasizes natural ingredients and is heavy on brown rice, beans, and fresh vegetables grown without artificial fertilizers. Foods to avoid, according to the macrobiotic philosophy, are meat, dairy products, frozen and processed foods, and artificial sweeteners. With all the healthy material, there is no doubt why they always become healthy!.

Here is a nice restaurant in Daimyo, serve only macrobiotic with a reasonable price.
